Our walking holidays are all about slow travel, exploring some of Italy’s most spectacular scenery on foot. You’ll head off the beaten track to journey through forests, vineyards and hilltop hamlets, with plenty of time for pit-stops in pretty towns and villages for sightseeing (and wine tasting – this is Italy, after all). They’re not just for experienced hikers; each tour will have a difficulty level rated from one to five, to give you an idea of whether it’s right for you.
• Hotel stays with breakfast
• Luggage transfer between hotels
• A welcome meeting on arrival to receive detailed maps and route information
• Service number to call for assistance
• Difficulty ratings of 1 to 5
Our three walking tours focus on the north of Italy. You’ll hike for up to five hours a day, tracing a route past vineyards, hazelnut groves and medieval villages. The tours take place in some of Italy’s most food-focused areas, from South Tyrol’s wine trail to Piedmont, with its local truffles, cheeses and creamy risottos. Some of the hills can be steep, but the alpine views from the top make it 100 percent worth it.
