The dynamic duo are back again with Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job - Series 2. Launched on BBC on 5th January, the series sees best friends Amanda Holden and Alan Carr renovating a dilapidated 17th-century house in the heart of northern Tuscany that they bought for just one Euro! Follow along as they put their DIY skills to the test in this eight part series.

Following on from their adventures in Sicily, in the rural town of Fornovolasco in the north of Tuscany, the pair spent their summer restoring the property into another dream Italian home with rolling green hills right on the doorstep. This quaint town has a unique history and beauty where iron mining and processing used to be prevalent. Today, the town has less than a hundred people so the renovation will help to breathe new life into the community.

The Tuscan countryside is home to hidden gems like San Giuliano Terme, a scenic spa town or Montecatini Terme with its historical architecture. It’s also home to bigger cities like Pisa and Florence, the “Beating Heart of Tuscany” and also Alan’s favourite city. The pair head off to the mediaeval town of San Gimignano for a spot of shopping at Italy’s oldest antiques market. There’s so much to see and do here, you won’t find anywhere quite like Tuscany.
