About the location
The charming town of Desenzano lies on the southern banks of Lake Garda, gazing out towards the Alps. With three large beaches and numerous cafes along the lake’s waterfront, it’s easy to relax here. Spend some time walking the pleasant historic streets up to the town’s Castello, where you can enjoy wonderful views over Desenzano, visiting the impressive Roman villa or marvelling at the cathedral's 16th-century architecture. There are plenty of shops dotted around the town, with everything from well-loved high street shops to charming, individual boutiques.
Desenzano is a great base for explorations of northern Italy. Lake Garda’s other towns are accessible by regular ferries and the cities of Milan, Verona and Venice are easily reached by train.

The hotel is brilliantly situated just 5 minutes walk down to the lake front and an easy stroll into the centre of Desenzano. It stood out for the friendliness of its staff, its cleanliness, the comfortable beds and large bathroom with powerful, hot shower, lots of fluffy towels. A good breakfast. The lounge area is also very comfortable and luminous. Unfortunately I was only there for one night on a business trip, however I would be more than happy to return with friends for longer.

The room and balcony was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was spot on with my husband opting for a cooked breakfast and I opted for fruit and danishes, the coffee was good too. The only slight let down was the quality of the fruit juice but perhaps that is because I buy Tropicana at home. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. We had opted to do a day trip to Venice on a day when it was pouring down and we thought ‘oh no we’ll get soaked’ but when we went downstairs the hotel had umbrellas waiting for residents in the hall … they were a lifesaver … such a thoughtful touch. The hotel bar was pleasant too for a few drinks after dinner and before bed.
We picked this particular spot because Desenzano has good travel options so we were able to take the ferry to Sirmione and the train to Venice and Venice and the hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk from the port and train station so perfect.

The hotel is extremely well kept and very very clean with you room attended to on a daily basis and daily fresh towels. All the staff are polite and helpful and nothing is a bother. The breakfast is lovely with a great variety to suit all. The pool is stunning and very clean. Location wise to main marine area , shops and restaurants is just a side street away so just perfect. Beautiful hotel I highly recommend in a beautiful area of Italy definitely worth a visit and we will be back sooner rather than later.

This was our second stay in this hotel, bringing my 80 year old parents with us on this trip. The hotel is easily accessible from Verona airport by rental car (35-40 mins) and has a safe basement carpark for customer use as well as spaces outside.
The staff on front desk, at breakfast and house keeping were excellent, friendly and helpful throughout our stay, as they were last time.
The rooms are clean & comfortable with good size bathrooms and walk-in showers with hairdryer in the bathroom and safe in the room. The bed was great as were the pillows, and fantastic air conditioning.
The pool looked clean and was well maintained, I wasn't brave enough to try it end of Sept/Oct as it's outdoor, I did dip my toe in!
The hotel itself is a 2 minute walk from the lake front/centre of town. The hotel does not offer dining other than breakfast. Breakfast had all the usual fare, continental and hot food options, yogurts, juices, cereals, fresh breads and pastries, jams and real honeycomb. Only thing to improve the room would be a mirror in the main bedroom for makeup/hair drying.
We absolutely recommend this hotel and if ever we return to lake Garda, this will be our base again.
