Many of the local wineries are open for public tours, spend time learning where the grapes are grown and produced and enjoy tasting a glass or two of the finished product. As well as exploring the vineyards, set aside time to enjoy excursions of the local area. Plan a trip to Pisa and climb the Leaning Tower’s 297 steps to enjoy views of the beautiful city below.

When in Tuscany, Siena is a must visit. This medieval city has plenty to see and do. Piazza del Campo is located at the heart of the city and is one of the biggest medieval squares in the world. The best way to admire its beauty is from the 88 metre high tower, Torre del Mangia. We recommend finishing your day with a traditional Sienese meal at Osteria Boccon Del Prete.

Head to Piombino on the Tuscan Coast to catch the ferry to Elba Island. The regular crossing takes approximately an hour to arrive into Portoferraio and is a calm and comfortable journey. Drive to your hotel and after checking in take a short drive along the coastal roads, stopping at the lookout points dotted along the way to capture some stunning photos before the sun sets.

We believe best way to unwind is by soaking up the sun, with 150 beaches on the island of Elba there are plenty to choose from. Most of the beaches are accessible by road so your hire car will enable you to find the perfect one. The island’s crystal clear waters are perfect for snorkelling too!

Exploring Elba is hungry work, so stop to enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner in the quaint mountain town, Poggio. This tiny town is packed full of restaurants serving fresh delicacies some of which have breath taking views down the mountain and across the marina.
