Take the short bus ride from the harbour to Ischia Ponte and explore the Aragonese Castle. A steep mule track leads the way to this medieval castle, offering spectacular views from the highest levels.  An easier way to view the castle is via the modern lift accessible to whisk you straight to the castle’s doorstep.

La Mortella Gardens, designed by the wife of composer Sir William Walton, are perhaps Ischia’s most beautiful attraction. The peaceful paradise has stunning views of the volcanic hillsides and are filled with tropical plants and pretty water features. In memory of Sir William Walton musical performances are still a huge feature of the gardens; so why not spend the rest of your day enjoying the concerts in the warm evening sun.
