Firstly, you'll visit Palatine Gallery featuring some of the most famous painters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, including Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Rubens, Artemisia Gentileschi and Pietro da Cortona, before you enter the Medici living quarters and hear how life was lived in the prime of the Medici reign. You will also have the chance to visit the other galleries inside the Palace like, Modern Art Gallery, Costume Gallery and Silver Museum.
Behind the palace, you will find the Boboli Gardens unfolding in a cool haven of sculptures, water and hidden grottos: a vision realized by Eleonora di Toledo, wife of Cosimo I de’ Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany. Monumentally designed and filled with classical artworks, it is now considered one of Florence’s most spectacular open-air museums, and was the inspiration for the gardens at the Palace of Versailles.
The last stop will be the hill to Forte di Belvedere and onwards to the Bardini Gardens and its coffeehouse, where you will enjoy a relaxing coffee overlooking marvellous views of Florence.
