About the location
Giardini Naxos is an affordable and laid-back resort, close to Taormina and with plenty of charm of its own. Stretching along the beachfront in the same wide bay as Taormina, this authentic Italian town thrives in the summer, and is a tranquil option outside of peak months. Designed around a long promenade packed with shopping and dining, the town of Giardini Naxos is perfectly suited to a relaxed seaside escape.
There’s plenty of history to enjoy too, with the 15th-century Vignazza Tower and 16th-century Schiso Castle dominating the town’s skyline. Activity in the Giardini Naxos generally revolves around relaxing by the seafront, with several lidos providing easy access to the beach. In the evening, many of the beachfront bars and cafes stay open late and it is not uncommon to dine late into the evening, with ice cream or crepes to finish. Should you wish to see more of the area, then Taormina is just a 15-minute drive across the bay, and boasts an ancient amphitheatre, historic streets and a 13th-century cathedral.

Great value hotel. Comfortable rooms. Bathroom could do with an update. Amazing view of Taormina and the sea (you'd have a great view from anywhere in the building).
Restaurant a bit noisy at first due to a large group but there is a quieter covered area. The buffet is served from behind screens so you have to watch they don't give you too much! Quality was excellent though, particularly the risottos and desserts so we ate in the
hotel every night. Wine and water included.
Lovely gardens with many beautiful trees and plants make the hotel feel like a small oasis.
There is a free shuttle bus to Taormina which worked very well apart from one day when it went without us despite having tickets booked. The hotel did arrange taxi for us though. Possibly the most terrifying drive of my life, how this taxi driver has a licence I shall never know, he was a maniac.

A very good hotel in terms of price / quality. Regarding the staff I can say that everyone is doing their best but I prefer Mr. NUNZIO (in the restaurant). Not only in terms of friendliness, but also in terms of professionalism and clothing (always with a tie) he always offers a solution for every problem. always with a smile!

Chose this hotel due to location and reviews we initially booked a garden villa however decided to change to partial sea view room in the main building room 429 great views of etna and the beach .... after looking at various rooms.... nothing was too much trouble the reception area has sanitisers everywhere you can be temperature checked as well ...masks are worn inside the hotel on entrance to the restaurant and approaching the bar but you can take them off once sat down ...the rooms had all been refurbished to a modern standard ...extremely clean and as said before the staff go over and above and are extremely friendly. The food in the hotel is lovely I???ve travelled a lot for my job and usually go out to eat but the risotto was scrummy plenty to choose from and all done behind plastic screens with the staff all wearing masks even the cleaning ladies ...I would definitely recommend this hotel it???s a 10 minute taxi ride into Taormina 20 euros or the bus is frequent about 2 euros each way ...we hired a car from Sicily car rental to see etna and Siracusa well worth a visit there are restaurants out side the hotel oneils is a good choice with a friendly welcome if you fancy a change it???s about 15 min walk into Giardini-Naxos marina quite busy on a weekend which is great ...the beach is wide made of shingle sea can be a bit rough sometimes but there are lifeguards on duty some people complained about the cost of the beds but I think is in line with most European hotels and they were comfy the system they have is to book a specific bed which is a great system....keep up the great work and I will be recommending you to my travel clients thanks we had a superb break ...
