About the location
The charming town of Desenzano lies on the southern banks of Lake Garda, gazing out towards the Alps. With three large beaches and numerous cafes along the lake’s waterfront, it’s easy to relax here. Spend some time walking the pleasant historic streets up to the town’s Castello, where you can enjoy wonderful views over Desenzano, visiting the impressive Roman villa or marvelling at the cathedral's 16th-century architecture. There are plenty of shops dotted around the town, with everything from well-loved high street shops to charming, individual boutiques.
Desenzano is a great base for explorations of northern Italy. Lake Garda’s other towns are accessible by regular ferries and the cities of Milan, Verona and Venice are easily reached by train.

Excellent week long stay in this wonderful hotel. Safe, underground parking onsite for those usng a car.
Location is easily accessible if you are driving, taking a train or a bus to Desenzano- a ten minute walk (down hill) from the train station and a very short 5 minute walk into the centre of the town or to the ferry.
Large rooms with a beautiful modern en-suite and balcony (ours overlooked the pool towards the back of the hotel).
Comfortable bed and pillows. There is a safe in the room and plenty of storage. No tea making facilities, but I didn't request a kettle - may be available if needed?
Free WiFi in the room.
The cleaning staff deserve a special mention - i've never stayed in a hotel where the cleaning staff did such a good job! I hope the Management recognise these wonderful ladies.
Breakfast was plentiful, both continental and hot buffet available, with lots of cerals, yogurts, juices, meats, cheeses, breads etc.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel as a base for touring around lake garda - wonderful.

Very well placed with a short street taking you into the very attractive town with all its restaurants, shops and ferry terminal. The hotel is spotless, decor and design modern and comfortable, the room an excellent size (superior with a balcony,) with great mattress for comfort, and an outstanding large shower (I am not small) in the good sized bathroom. Excellent breakfast with both indoor and terrace tables. Large pool and many loungers. All staff charming and helpful. The lack of a restaurant is not problematic as there are snack meals available in the lounge but you are on the doorstep of the whole town with a great choice of restaurants. Highly recommended. The morning coffee was the best we had in Italy!

My wife and I stayed here on a leg of our honeymoon touring Italy. The hotel was chosen for us by the travel company we used and we must say that the hotel is excellent and should be worthy of 4 stars, perhaps the lack of facilities........a gym or in room iron etc could be the reason? The breakfast was great and one of the best we have had during our trip. The pool is great and like other comments it was never really that busy and there were plenty of beds. The location is great as you can walk in to Desenzano in 5 mins. The bedrooms are big and we had a lovely balcony. The bed was very big and comfortable.
The only downside is that if you are looking for a lay in you will find it difficult as housekeeping starts between 8:00-8:30 and despite not coming in the room you can still hear the cleaning. I guess this means that you can get out early though and explore the great scenery!
We would definitely stay at the hotel again on our next visit!

We booked at short notice, got the last available room. We didn't expect much given the circumstances but the room was immaculate, very spacious. Outlook onto a side road was no problem, very little traffic on it. All public areas were well appointed. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, with good choice of local breads, meats and fruit. Fresh coffee/tea was delivered to the table - a nice touch, given that so many hotels just let you press a button on a machine. Overall, a nice, relaxing hotel with friendly staff.
