Hotel Garden Garda sits in an enviable position in the heart of Garda, a town towards the southern end of Lake Garda in northern Italy. It sits above many of the surrounding buildings, offering superb views from all angles. Opened in 1969, the hotel has been tastefully decorated and whilst some areas are slightly dated, it provides a relaxing and calming atmosphere throughout. It also boasts plenty of character and classic style furniture.

About the location
Situated at the southern end of the lake, Garda is one of the main destinations along the coastline and enjoys a great location just 20 miles from Verona. It’s one of the most traditional resorts on the lake, offering the joint charms of a medieval centre and a pretty waterfront promenade.
The centre of the town is one of the most atmospheric found anywhere along Lake Garda’s shore, with winding alleyways and historic palazzos characterising the area. Be sure to visit some of the sights here, including the 16th-century Church of Santa Maria Assunta, known for its stunning gilded interior. You’ll also find as many independent craft shops as boutiques here, as well as plenty of authentic eateries and cute cafes.
The whole charming affair is watched over by the majestic Rocca di Garda – a huge rocky outcrop topped by the ruins of a 5th-century castle. The climb up can be challenging, but the views at the top are well worth it. When it comes to seeing more of the area, Verona is a top pick, being just over 30 minutes’ drive from the town.

Hotel is so convenient for ferries across the lake, for local buses around the lake, and within short walking distance to many local restaraunts and bars.Excellent base to use to enjoy Lake Garda.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location, only a five minute stroll to the lake front and all the restaurants. Bus stop a leisurely 10-15 minute stroll to visit all the beauty this lake provides. Port ferry 5 minutes away to pop on a ferry boat to access other lakeside towns by water.
The beds were so comfortable and always fresh. Air conditioning a bit old but works fine.
Decor in bedroom also bit dated, but did not detract from overall effect.
Breakfast plentiful, cappuccino delicious. Omelettes made to order were delicious.
Poolside lovely and clean, staff very helpful
Would I stay again, yes definitely!

The pool area and the whole grounds are spotlessly clean.
The hotel was very quiet on a night time which was really appreciated considering how in some hotels you can hear your neighbours, but we couldn’t hear a thing!
Definitely a highly recommended hotel, only minor thing and don’t let this put you off would be slightly dated decor in the rooms (although very italian) and a very small shower, a larger person would struggle to fit in.
