The city of Naples is positioned on the waterside looking out towards the Gulf of Naples and famously neighbours the majestic Mount Vesuvius. Whilst the city is rich in art, history and culture it is also known for its exquisite local foods, that use local traditions and ingredients to create truly authentic Italian dishes, Naples was after all the founding city of pizza! 

The most popular account of the invention of pizza Margherita was back in 1861 which was the year Italy unified. Supposedly, Queen Margherita was bored of the gourmet French food which was popular at the time, as such, she summoned Raffaele Esposito who was the most famous pizza maker in Naples at the time. Queen Margherita commissioned Esposito to make a pizza for her.

Under the watchful eye of a professional pizza chef (pizzaiolo), stretch and top the dough with the finest local ingredients. Then, take a seat and enjoy a 3-course meal with you pizza being the main attraction.
