About Il Borgo di Montereggi
Set amongst wooded hills, about a mile from the village of Limite, the beautiful Il Borgo di Montereggi has been carefull converted from a Tuscan farmhouse to create 12 attractive apartments, carefully preserving the beauty and charm of the original 16th century features. The grounds of the estate span 100 hectares and the Marmugi family, who own the property, produce their own wine and olive oil here. There is a communal barbecue area and a large swimming pool (normally in use May - Sep), whose large terrace has lovely views over the countryside. Citalia offer the eight apartments in the main farmhouse with its wooden beamed ceilings plus a cosy communal lounge with a stone fireplace. The houses and their verdant surroundings enjoy utter peace and tranquillity, whilst being only half an hour away from Florence and the small town of Montelupo, with several banks, restaurants and stores, is about three miles away.Accommodation:
AGRIFOGLIO, ALLORO, CAMOMILLA & MALVA sleep 2-3 people and are located on the ground floor with a private entrance (except Camomilla, which has a shared entrance) Living/dining room with French divan bed and kitchen area. One twin bedroom. Shower room. Patio with tables and chairs.EDERA & FIORDALISO sleep 2-3 people and are on the first floor. Shared entrance and 19 steps lead up to a communal lounge on the first floor. Entrance to a living/dining room with French divan bed and kitchen area. One large twin bedroom and a shower room. Edera has a communal area outside with table and chairs.
RIBES sleeps 3-4 people and is on the ground floor. Private entrance into living room with kitchen area. Two twin or double rooms. Ribes has no steps and a furnished patio area.
BIANCOSPINO sleeps 3-4 people and is on the ground floor. Private entrance into a living/dining room with kitchen area. One step leads to one twin and one double bedroom and two shower rooms. Table and chairs outside.
GENZIANA & PAPAVERO sleeps 3-4 people and is on the first floor. Shared entrance with 19 steps leading up to the communal lounge on the first floor. Entrance to living/dining room and kitchen. One twin bedroom with en suite shower room. Second twin bedroom and second shower room.
GIRASOLE sleeps 3-4 people and is on the ground floor. Private entrance into a large living/dining room and a kitchen area. Staircase up to one twin bedroom, a second smaller twin bedroom and two shower rooms. Table and chairs outside.
