About Fattoria di Cinciano

Ideally located in the midst of the Chianti region, Fattoria di Cinciano is set in some of the most beautiful scenery in Tuscany. It is an extensive wine estate which produces a large selection of wines and each week there is a guided tour around the wine cellars. The Fattoria di Cinciano estate, dating back almost 900 years, is well tended with a variety of fruit trees and colourful foliage and is set on a hilltop in an oasis of tranquillity. Located on a winding country lane, it is surrounded by rolling hills and commands spectacular views across the valley to the Medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano in the distance. Given as a gift in 1126 by the owner's widow to a Florentine bishop, the estate has had a turbulent history, it was fought over by the Bishop of Florence and the Bishop of Siena and was nearly destroyed by a number of revolts. Within the wonderful grounds lies a small group of farm buildings which have been carefully converted to form delightful apartments, most with beautiful views. There is a swimming pool (normally in use May-Sep) situated within the grounds of the Fattoria with beautiful panoramic views. The apartments have all been carefully renovated to maintain a true rustic Tuscan feel, with many still retaining their original terracotta floors, beamed or vaulted ceilings and, in some cases, fireplaces. Many have their own patio or terrace. Mountain bike hire and horseriding are available nearby (payable locally).

All apartments have kitchen/dining room with a 4-ring gas hob, electric mircowave oven and fridge, and a lounge area with double sofa bed.



CAPANNA

For 2-5 people. In a detached building on two levels with private entrance. Beautiful views from lounge area. Single bedroom and shower room. Upstairs to double/twin bedroom and second single room. Private courtyard.



MENTA

For 2-4 people. Private entrance up a small slope. Located 200m from the swimming pool with own private, furnished patio and lawn area. Double/twin bedroom.



PORCILIA

For 2-4 people. Independent entrance accessed via 21 steps. Double/twin bedroom with ensuite shower. Magnificent views from lounge and bedroom. Private furnished patio



STALLA A

For 2-6 people. On ground floor with private entrance. Stairs to the 2 double/twin bedrooms and shower room. Fabulous views from lounge, bedroom and large, private and furnished patio.



STALLA B

For 2-6 people. On ground floor with private entrance. 2 double/twin bedrooms and upstairs to shower room. Views of valley and swimming pool. Communal furnished courtyard.



TORRE 2

For 2-5 people. A lovely apartment in the middle section of the tower with great views from the lounge. Shared entrance up 3 steps. 2 double/twin bedrooms and access to communal furnished courtyard.



TORRE 3

For 2-6 people. In the top part of the tower with stunning views. Shared entrance via a stone staircase. 1 small double with low ceiling (suitable for children). Master double at the top of the tower. Communal furnished courtyard.
