About Grand Hotel Timeo

The Grand Hotel Timeo dates back to 1873 and successfully recreates the atmosphere and splendour of a bygone era. Now part of the Orient-Express group, Taormina's first hotel is surrounded by luxurious parkland filled with olive and cypress trees, magnolias and bougainvillea.

Guest rooms are richly furnished and overlook the sea and Mount Etna, whilst the suites evoke the grandeur of the Sicilian Baroque period. Among them is the Presidential Suite (available on request), embodying a turn-of-the-century aristocratic Sicily complete with a wonderfully large terrace from which you can enjoy those uninterrupted views of Taormina and beyond.

The Grand Hotel Timeo and its terrace looks out over some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the Mediterranean, from the breathtaking Bay of Naxos to Mount Etna and the Greco-Roman amphitheatre. After gazing at a magical Sicilian sunset, head to the hotel's restaurant and sample some of the Sicilian and Mediterranean gastronomy that is available. In addition, the hotel's swimming pool and Health & Fitness Centre are great places to unwind in after a day's sightseeing in Taormina or another wonderful Sicilian town.
