About Grand Hotel Royal

Just around the corner from Museo Correale di Terranove, a few minutes' walk from the centre of Sorrento, the Grand Hotel Royal has a commanding position on the cliff with wonderful views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.

Guests are welcomed to a spacious reception area where a beautiful image of Sorrento's old harbour has been engraved onto one of the reception desk's rich wooden panels. There is also an elegant lounge with a grand piano.

The guestrooms are decorated to a high standard incorporating modern facilities with local Vietri tiled flooring and furnishings specially crafted from the traditional Sorrentine wood, inlaid with the nautical star. Some of the guestrooms are located in the hotel's annexe.

A swimming pool is situated amidst a lush garden filled with sweet-scented citrus trees and shady palms, and a poolside bar is on hand for snacks and à la carte lunches. Access to the hotel's bathing platform is by lift and a snack bar is situated on the beach.

Guests are treated to a piano bar, gala dinner dance and Neapolitan evening once a week, and live music is performed twice a week.

Accommodation:

Rooms are spacious and comfortable with classic furnishings. They include a balcony, a bath or shower, satellite television, portable air conditioning unit, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, internet access, direct dial phone and safe(payable locally approx. €3.50 a day). All rooms feature twin beds but double and single rooms are available on request. It is also possible to add a third twin bed on request.

Glance across Sorrento's evocative landscape and you will see the soft pink, blue and ochre buildings of Piazza Tasso. You will also find there is more to Sorrento than the many shops and bars buried in its vibrant centre.
