About Grand Hotel Royal
Just around the corner from Museo Correale di Terranove, a few minutes' walk from the centre of Sorrento, the Grand Hotel Royal has a commanding position on the cliff with wonderful views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.Guests are welcomed to a spacious reception area where a beautiful image of Sorrento's old harbour has been engraved onto one of the reception desk's rich wooden panels. There is also an elegant lounge with a grand piano.
The guest rooms are decorated to a high standard incorporating modern facilities with local Vietri tiled flooring and furnishings specially crafted from the traditional Sorrentine wood, inlaid with the nautical star. Some of the guest rooms are located in the hotel's annexe.
A swimming pool is situated amidst a lush garden filled with sweet-scented citrus trees and shady palms, and a poolside bar and restaurant are on hand for drinks, snacks and à la carte lunches. Access to the hotel's bathing platform is by lift and a snack bar is situated on the beach.
Guests are treated to a piano bar, gala buffet dinner dance and Neapolitan evening once a week, and live music is performed twice a week.
Accommodation:
Twin rooms (Classic) are spacious and comfortable with classic furnishings. Features include a balcony, bathtub or shower, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, portable air-conditioning unit, mini-bar, Internet access (payable locally), telephone and safe (payable locally, approx. €3.50 a day).Twin Side Sea View rooms (Deluxe) have a partial sea view, which can be enjoyed from the balcony.
Twin Full Sea View rooms (Premier) have the luxury of a full sea view, which can be enjoyed from the balcony.
Single rooms are available however they do not have a balcony.
