About Grand Hotel Capodimonte
Set on a hill-side amongst terraced gardens with fragrant lemon and olive groves, the Grand Hotel Capodimonte's views reach out across the beautiful Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.Situated near the quaint fishing harbour of Marina Grande, it is only a 10 minute walk to Sorrento's main shopping street, and bustling Piazza Tasso with its bars and cafés.
Neutrally decorated guest rooms are furnished throughout with the traditional Sorrento inlaid wood, and the famous local Vietri tiles are used for the flooring. Guests can dine with a view in both restaurants, Le Ginestre and Le Querce. Restaurant Le Ginestre benefits from a panoramic bay window and Restaurant Le Querce enjoys a terrace, and walls decorated in trompe l'oeil.
The hotel's impressive cascading swimming pool is comprised of five connecting pools, and one with a whirlpool section. Pretty, shaded terraces with sunbeds surround them, perfect for sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the views that stretch out below. During the summer the poolside restaurant Bougainvillea serves barbecue food, snacks and light lunches, and the Agrumeto bar serves refreshing drinks. From May to October there is a weekly gala buffet and live music is performed twice per week, and from June to October there is a piano bar once per week.
