Housed in a 19th century building, Hotel Genio is within walking distance of Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.Hotel Genio occupies a five-storey Neo-Renaissance building that's situated virtually next door to Palazzo Altemps, home to an extraordinary collection of Classical sculptures, including the 16 that make up Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi's impressive collection.
The hotel's large rooftop terrace, with its wonderful views of Rome, is a lovely place to relax after exploring the centro storico areas that surround the nearby Piazza Navona, a beautiful Baroque piazza once used for chariot races. This central piazza is lined with palazzi and pavement cafés that edge towards the crowds congregating around one of Bernini's most magnificent fountains, the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi.
