About Ischia
Set in the Gulf of Naples, the island of Ischia sprawls languidly over a mountainous and flower draped terrain, which rolls down to delightful small towns and villages. Points of attraction are the characteristic port, the evocative haven of Sant'Angelo's long golden beaches and the wooded hills and terraced vineyards.FORIO
Forio is a pretty little town sprawling round a bay with its old town and church, a beautiful landmark from which panoramic views of the town can be seen.
ISCHIA TOWN
A delightful and vivacious town, the real centre of the island with a variety of colourful shops, restaurants and taverns. Some of the white and multi coloured houses stretch along the edge of a lake which was once a crater.
SANT'ANGELO
A lovely fishing village on the southerly and most verdant part of the island and to the east stretches the long sandy beach of Maronti, the largest beach on the island. On the surrounding terrain you will come across many fumaroles, where steam emerges from under the rocks.
ISCHIA'S THERMAL SPRINGS
The abundance of springs on Ischia have been attracting visitors since the Roman times. Used for treating numerous ailments, these waters are today applied using methods ranging from thermal baths and underwater massages to mud baths. There are thermal establishments such as the Aphrodite Apollon Thermal Garden in Sant'Angelo plus health and beauty centers in many of the quality hotels in Ischia.
