After collecting your car at Pisa International Airport, head straight into the rural countryside, enjoying your first taste of the Tuscan roads, before arriving at your accommodation option near the picturesque town of San Gimignano, famous for its 14 remaining medieval towers. This historic walled town is one of Tuscany’s most spectacular, full of medieval architecture and atmospheric piazzas. There are plenty of restaurants, too, so you’ll easily find an option for dinner.

Today you will leave San Gimignano for Siena – a remarkable medieval city with heaps of charm, and some incredible sights including a striking marble cathedral. You can spend the day walking through the 17 contrade (boroughs), which compete against each other in the bi-annual horse race, Il Palio.

Today you will be heading to Florence – Tuscany’s breathtaking capital. Enjoy the scenic drive to this Renaissance gem, before checking in to your centrally located hotel. The city boasts a vast number of museums, galleries and architectural delights, but for your first afternoon and evening we’d recommend staying close to the Piazza della Signoria, where you’ll find plenty of attractions plenty of great dining options.

As your full day in Florence dawns, we recommend getting up early to visit the city’s jaw-dropping cathedral. Beat the queues and enjoy panoramic views from the dome, or take on Giotto’s Campanile for unique views of the cathedral’s dome. Pre-book the Walking Tour of Florence for the afternoon, with Uffizi and explore the city's most fascinating attractions on foot including Palazzo Vecchio, the Cathedral with the Brunelleschi's Dome and the Baptistery with its famous Gates of Paradise.
