Considered one of the most important Egyptian museums in the world, the ‘Museo Egizio’ hosts an impressive collection of Egyptian marvels, rivalling the collection in Cairo. Beginning under the reign of the House of Savoy, archaeologists have amassed an incredible array of mummies, statues, photography and ancient relics. The collections seen at the museum today were augmented by several excavations carried out in Egypt between 1900 and 1935, making this compilation all the more special.

Particular favourites include the spectacular Tomb of Kha, dating back to 3,500 BC, and the Ellesija Temple, built for Pharaoh Tuthmosis III and moved to Turin in 1966. If the 6,500 display objects weren't enough, the museum has recently undergone great restoration to enhance its exhibition space and introducing a fantastic arrangement of 3D films and historical photos.

Museum entry hours: Open 9am – 6.30pm (Closing at 2pm on Mondays).

Museum entry price: €13 for adults. Reduced concession and child prices are available.

*Prices and opening hours may be subject to change and tickets can be booked in advance.
