The natural wonders of Puglia’s caves grace the entrance to the Itria Valley and have been attracting tourists ever since they first opened. The grottos are formed from an extraordinary collection of stalactite and stalacmite formations, and to tour this series of underground caves will take visitors approximately two hours, spanning an astonishing journey of three kilometres. Each cave has been given its own name and the most spectacular is the Grotta Bianca (white grotto), an alabaster cave decorated with delicate stalactites, but each contains very remarkable sights. These impressive limestone caves are a real gem for Puglia and definitely worth a tour – ensure you allow time for the white cave and take a light jacket for any temperature drops!

Ticket prices: Ticket prices range from €10 - €15 depending on itinerary chosen. Reduced rates are available for children.

Opening hours: 9am – 6pm (March to October). Long tours (Include Grotta Bianca) begin at 11am and 4pm and short tours begin at 1pm and 6.30pm.
