  • Enjoy a guided tour of Pisa
  • Free time to explore the beautiful city of Lucca
  • Taste some Tuscan wine in a local enoteca

Spend a full day exploring Pisa and Lucca, two popular Tuscan towns known for beautiful architecture and world-renowned historic sights.

The excursion begins in the city of Pisa, synonymous with its famous Leaning Tower. You'll be able to snap an iconic photo in front of the tower, before your guide takes you to Miracle Square, known for being the centre of medieval art and lined with impressive architecture. Admire the baptistery before heading inside the huge Romanesque cathedral, completed in the 11th century. While in Pisa, you can choose to pay an additional supplement to gain entrance to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, to see the spectacular views across the city. Round off your tour of Lucca with a visit to a local wine shop, where you can taste some typical Tuscan wines.

Next, you'll make your way to the distinctive city of art and Renaissance, Lucca. Here you'll have free time for a walk around the enchanting historical centre, before a guided tour of the old town begins. You'll see the Anfiteatro Square, Guinigi Tower and San Martino Dome, as well as strolling down the antique dealer's street. While you're there, grab a snack in a local pastry shop (Buccellato is the typical sweet of Lucca), before you return to Florence in the late afternoon.
