Once a medieval abbey, Relais Santa Anastasia is a unique property full of historic character and charm. The stone hotel was once inhabited by the Normans after being founded in 1100 and is located in the heart of the Madonie Natural Park, perched on the hillside, surrounded by vineyards and boasting fantastic views towards the sea and Aeolian islands in the distance. Its prime location on the island allows guests to drive to the medieval town of Castelbuono in roughly 15 minutes and Sicily’s capital city, Palermo, in an hour.
This hotel creates a truly peaceful atmosphere, its outdoor pool providing the perfect spot to relax in the sun during the warm summer days and the neighbouring natural park and gardens are full of gentle walking trails for those who wish to stay active. The hotel's two restaurants are on hand to serve traditional meals, which can be paired with a bottle of wine produced at the hotel's own winery. Guests can also choose to enjoy a wine tasting experience and take a tour of the winery (payable locally).
The comfortable guest rooms here are named after different grape varieties originating in the region. They are decorated in a Madonita style with rich colours and elegant furnishings. For complete relaxation the Grandes Suites have their own private Jacuzzi and views of the countryside and gardens.

The menu at La Corte dell’Abate is full of dishes of traditional origin made from ingredients grown in the local area. A four course tasting menu is also available, serving guests Sicilian flavours in an elegant environment. A smaller restaurant, Passioni e Tentazioni, serves diners local dishes in a more intimate setting.
The outdoor bar serves refreshing drinks throughout the day as well as light lunches.
The gardens, vineyards and olive trees that surround the hotel create an ideal place to walk, stroll along the dedicated paths or follow the trails by bike. There are many stops along the way to take a break and enjoy the breath-taking views.
Guests can use the outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi during the summer (May-August). Also available are sun loungers, parasols and free pool towels.

Charming and elegant, the two Suites that feature at the hotel are decorated in a classical style but both differ in appearance. One is spread across a single floor and the other is split on two levels allowing a more secluded spot for guests to rest at night.
