There’s no excuse not to cool off during your stay at Grand Hotel Riviera. The freshwater pool boasts stunning sea to sky views while the private bathing platform, accessible by lift straight from the hotel, is a great way to enjoy the sea without the crowds.
The bathing platform is accessible by lift from the terrace of the hotel, and is free for guests to use from May - September. Showers, a snack bar, loungers and deck chairs are all available.

The hotel’s freshwater pool contains a whirlpool and is surrounded by trees, with uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean Sea. There is also a sunbathing area with sunbeds and parasols, as well as a separate children’s pool which is supervised by trained staff throughout the day.

Surrounded by olives trees, aromatic pine and Mediterranean plants, Sorrento is a little oasis on the peninsula that bears its name. While the Amalfi Coast may be better known, we love this side of the headland as it is much less crowded than its up-market neighbours.
Simply put, Sorrento is just gorgeous, so don’t rush off too quickly looking to explore the more famous towns. After a quick caffe stretto, stroll through Corso Italia and support the local economy by visiting a few of the chic boutiques and souvenir shops. Get lost in the pretty jumble of streets that wind all the way to the beach and fishing harbour, where you can easily spend a few hours by sipping a glass of local limoncello and watching the world go by.
