With lovely views over the bay and just a ten-minute walk from the centre of Maiori, the Botanico San Lazzaro is in an ideal location to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the Amalfi Coast. Typically Mediterranean in style, the building is perched on the cliffside, allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted sea views. Each of the 18 guest rooms are furnished using precious terracotta from Vietri and hand-decorated furniture, and are well equipped with modern comforts.
Please note that as this hotel is on a hillside it is accessed firstly via many steps and then a funicular.

Maiori is perhaps best known for owning the Amalfi Coast’s longest stretch of unbroken sandy beachfront. There’s much more to this seafront town than just a beach, though – you'll also find ancient architecture, lovely local restaurants and a laid-back atmosphere that draws visitors back time and time again.
The town was founded during the Roman Empire, when the fashion was for the aristocracy to have a villa by the coast. Today, you can still see some of these grand properties, with the Castello di Torro Plano being the most popular. This romantic castellated ruin is a considerable climb into the mountains behind Maiori, but is well worth a visit for the spectacular views. If you want to explore more of the Amalfi Coast, there is easy access by road to Amalfi, Positano and neighbouring Minori. You can also catch a ferry over to the glamorous island of Capri.
