The Valle dei Templi is one of the most famous historical sites in Sicily, attracting thousands of visitors each year. This fascinating archaeological site is the largest in the world, and home to some of the best-preserved ancient Greek temples outside of Greece. Located just outside the town of Agrigento, the temples were once part of the ancient Greek city of Akragas, and the valley includes the remains of seven temples in a Doric style: Juno, Hercules, Olympian Zeus, Castor and Pollux, Vulcan, Asclepius and the Temple of Concordia - one of the best-preserved in the valley. It's remained almost entirely intact since its creation in 430 BC. In the 6th century, it was used as a Christian church and its structure reinforced, which has helped it keep its form to the present day.

The expansive site is a fantastic place to spend a few hours of your day and the temples are lit up at night, making them even more beautiful.

Opening hours: 8.30am – 7pm.

Price: Admission to the valley €10 per person. Archaeological Museum €8 per person. Combined valley and archaeological museum ticket €13.50 per person. Free for European Union citizens aged under 18 and over 65 years (please take a passport as proof of ID).
