POSITANO
A narrow ribbon of shimmering asphalt running over ravines and translucent sea, links Sorrento to the beauty of Positano, a vibrant village clambering down past narrow buildings and sleepy lanes. Shaded by the church of Santa Maria Assunta and its famous 13th century Black Madonna, meander down these lanes to the waterfront where a profusion of cafés, bars and restaurants serve freshly landed seafood. The hills above Positano are strewn with paths, making up the Trail of the Gods, which zigzags through lush vegetation leading walkers to the delightful hamlet of Nocelle.
PRAIANO
Set amongst the inlets of the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, just 4 miles (6,5km) from Amalfi and 5 miles (8km) from Positano is the ancient fishing village of Praiano. This delightful seaside resort presents itself to the seas as a cascade of white houses on a green flowering slope surrounded by sandy coves.
