The Amalfi Coast is one of most breathtaking backdrops you could choose for a wedding. The little town of Amalfi is one of the jewels in its crown, with scenic streets and whitewashed villas clinging to the hillside, with the glossy blue Tyrrhenian Sea in the distance.
Amalfi weddings take place at its atmospheric town hall, a former Benedictine monastery dating back to the 13th century, making it one of Italy’s oldest marriage halls. In the heart of Amalfi beside the magnificent 9th-century Duomo St. Andrew, it’s one of Italy’s most unique wedding locations.
The ceremony itself is held in the historic Salone Morelli room, filled with antiques and documents from the Maritime Republic of Amalfi. The huge windows flood the room with light, framing the stunning sea views.
Amalfi Town Hall capacity: 70 people seated.
Hotel Santa Caterina or the Hotel Marina Riviera are ideal for wedding receptions, and for you and your guests to stay. Both have incredible panoramic views, with Marina Riviera’s rooftop sea-view terrace the perfect spot for a celebratory toast. The Santa Caterina’s courtyard gardens and orange lemon groves are classic of the Amalfi Coast, and are ideal for sun-drenched receptions.
