From the alluring beauty of the Neapolitan Riviera and the Italian Lakes, to the romance of its historical cities, Italy is a country that is synonymous with love. Magnificent surroundings, sunny climes, sumptuous cuisine and an unequalled passion will ensure that wherever you choose to say ‘I do’ in Italy, it will be the perfect setting to exchange your vows.

Whether you're after an intimate ceremony for two on the Amalfi Coast, or a lavish affair with friends and family by the picturesque shores of Lake Garda, we can tailor-make every aspect of your special day. With our extensive experience and over 85 years as the leading Italian holiday specialist, you can be assured that your day will be one you’ll cherish forever.

Our standard wedding package includes all the essentials, and you can then add extras like photography, flowers and favours to personalise your day as little or as much as you wish. All the weddings we offer are civil ceremonies, lasting around 20 minutes and traditionally conducted in Italian with your personal wedding planner translating the ceremony for you. Time is an important element in the preparation of your Italian wedding. We require at least 12 weeks' notice to arrange your wedding and ensure all legal and administrative procedures are organised for you. Once your wedding booking is confirmed, our dedicated wedding coordinators will be there every step of the way, from helping with the preparation of the official paperwork, to the little extra special touches helping to make a perfect and unforgettable occasion, allowing you to relax and enjoy your special day together.

We can also organise ceremonies for those looking to celebrate their love and renew their wedding vows in a romantic setting. Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Venice, Lake Como and Lake Garda all offer this service. Whether travelling with a small or large wedding party, our team of experts can assist you in finding the ideal property for you and your guests to stay in. And should you wish to incorporate your honeymoon and explore more of this beautiful country, they can create a bespoke honeymoon itinerary. Italy’s most beautiful coastline is an unbeatable backdrop to your big day. The tiny, picture-perfect town of Amalfi brings a dose of Italian romance mixed with a little history and tradition, with its old piazzas and pastel-coloured buildings stretching down to a little beach. One thing’s for sure – the wedding photos will be something special.

This enchanting island off the Neapolitan Riviera has been capturing hearts for many years, becoming a playground for the rich and famous throughout the 1950s. If it’s designer glam you’re after, a Capri wedding could be for you, with gleaming whitewashed buildings and cobbled streets winding down steep limestone cliffs.

For a country wedding with a difference, consider Italy’s largest lake. A Lake Garda wedding will have some unbeatable natural beauty going for it; the towering Dolomite Mountains and their lemon grove-filled foothills make an idyllic photo frame. It’s one of the best wine regions in the country, too, so your guests will thank you for it.

One of the Amalfi Coast’s cutest and most colourful towns, Positano was made for wedding photos. Its candy-coloured houses and fashionable boutiques are splashed with green wisteria and interspersed with manicured gardens, with views of the Amalfi Coast hanging like a watercolour in the background.

A rural retreat with a glamorous twist, Ravello is becoming one of Italy’s most popular wedding destinations. Set high above the Amalfi Coast with spine-tingling views of the sea, Ravello is famous for its elegant gardens and polished piazzas, with Moorish-Mediterranean architecture nestled among rugged cliffs.

With its unique brand of laid-back glamour, Sorrento is the jewel of southern Italy. A tumble of cliff-side buildings in soft pink, blue and ochre create one of the most romantic skylines in Italy, gazing out across the Bay of Naples – the views alone should put a Sorrento wedding top of your list.

Considering a Lake Como wedding? You’ll be in good company. This beautiful part of Italy is a hotspot for celebrity weddings, with likes of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend saying ‘I do’ on its picturesque shores. Famous for its centuries-old lakeside villas, there’s no shortage of fairy-tale venues to say your vows in here.

Venice is a city designed for romance, from its stunning bridges to the gondolas gliding serenely down the Grand Canal. One of Italy’s most beautiful cities, you'll have an album's worth of photo ops here, whichever venue you opt for.

Here at Citalia, we understand that your wedding will be the most important day of your life – and we’re here to make it as stress-free as possible. We have answered all the questions you might have about the planning of your wedding and the big day itself.
