Travelling by Eurostar is a quick, easy and comfortable way to begin your journey to Italy. Trains glide out of London and pass the Kent countryside, before travelling through the Channel Tunnel and emerging in northern France, arriving into Paris' Gare du Nord in around two hours. Spend a day or two in the 'City of Light' seeing the sights and museums, browsing designer boutiques and dining at cosy bistros, or continue straight on to Italy.

Eurostar journeys

Travelling to Paris' Gare du Nord on the Eurostar could not be easier with journey times taking on average two hours from the UK, with frequent trains departing every day. There are three stations from which you can board the Eurostar; St. Pancras, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International. Children under four years travel for free unless they require their own seat and child prices are available for children aged 4-11 years.

Journey time: 2 hrs 16 mins

At London St Pancras station you will find an impressive range of shops, restaurants, bars and a mix of independent and boutique retailers just as you would expect to find at any UK airport; along with information boards and help desks. Inside the departure lounge more shops, cafés, a newsagent, cash machines with currency in euros and sterling, and a bureau de change can be found. Wi-fi access is free to use throughout the station including the Eurostar departure lounge.
