Hi, my name is Lisa. I’m a concierge on Lake Garda and Verona.
In Lake Garda, I cover resorts mainly in the southwest, from Lazise up Gargnano on the western side of the lake. I’ve been living in Lake Garda for about 10 years now; I came to Italy in 2001 and Lake Garda was the first destination I ever worked.
Immediately when I got to Lake Garda it felt like home. Italy as a whole is a country with lots of different landscapes, and you can see many of them on Lake Garda. The north is mountainous, and the bottom of the lake is quite flat.
A lot of the resorts around the lake are all quite unique. Lake Garda forms part of three regions in Italy; the Trentino part in the north, the Veneto part on the eastern side and Lombardy on the western side of the lake. You can travel around and visit three different regions; the mountain scenery in the north is spectacular on a crisp, clear day.
If you’re quite active there are various walks around the lake, and places you can hire bicycles and do the cycle routes away from the main areas. You can discover some little agriturismos along the way and stop for an authentic meal.
